"Electric Wolf and Lava Rhino” is a part of the 2016 series “A Crash of Rhinos.”
“A Crash of Rhinos” is a fifteen drawings set depicting the story of Five Rhino, six Mechanical Rhinos, the Crash Mountains, the Domed Cities and a population forces to leave their world and solar system.
This drawing is a mixed medium of ink, colored pencil and pastels on heavy paper.
Electric Wolf and Lava Rhino is the first Mechanical Rhino drawing. It is the first drawing to include people present, the operators of the Rhinos. I also started decorating the amour with tribal and team logo designs.
The scenery is early on in the construction of the domes. The first dome, a red one, is half way through construction around a city. A green house also enters the background.
The grounds are clean and prepared for construction, such as swirl marks on the ground. There is a little bit of a sign of rubbish in the background by the volcano.
There are battle scares and kill markings on the rhinos. I imagined that there were conflicting factions on what to do, not to do or to do anything at all when a world is threaten with the collapse of their ecosystem.
